A Brief Analysis of my Reading.

Reading Analysis
WALT: make a snap shot of my reading ability using the National Standards learning progressions.

This week we videoed ourselves reading an extract from Bridge to Terabithia. We had to watch ourselves and notice what challenges we faced when reading at 13-14 years.  We had to choose 4 challenges that stood out the most. Then we had to think how we were going to make changes to our reading, by setting goals.

The Challenges I Face In Reading Are:
  • Pronouncing my words clearly.
  • Rushing when I read
  • Reading quietly
  • Reading with no expression

The Goals That I Will Focus On In Term 4, So To Help Me Become A Better Reader Are:

  • Slow down my reading and say my words clearly.
  • Develop my confidence.
  • Practice reading out aloud at home and include eye contact with the audience.

Thank you Hellers

Dear Hellers,

My name is Demetrius and on behalf of Tautoro School I would like to thank you for the sausages that you had given to us.  They were a big life saver, particularly after running 3 km for cross country.

I don’t know about everybody else but I was starving so I couldn’t wait to get my free sausage sizzle.

From all of us here at Tautoro School thank you, thank you and thank you again.

Yours sincerely,
Demetrius Pairama

Thank you Kids Can

Dear Kids Can,

My name is Demetrius and on behalf of Tautoro School, I would like to thank you for giving us the things that we use and appreciate everyday such as weetbix and peaches for breakfast.  The raincoats and shoes.  Lastly, the pens to help with our writing. So once again thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
All of these things have been a big help.   This has also made things easier for our parents and families who are just as grateful.  You are truly amazing and generous people.

So from all of us here at Tautoro School, nga mihi kia koutou.

Yours sincerely
Demetrius Pairama
